The Head of Construction will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee construction operations in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. You will be the single threaded leader, overseeing our EV charging network.

Responsibilities

  •  Manages the smooth progression of multiple construction projects from the engineering and permitting phase to the installation and commissioning of the stations
  •  Drive the scope, schedule, and budget with a growing awareness of cost implications and developing solutions which benefit the bottom line
  •  Develop, monitor, and execute project plans and schedule
  •  Manage the financial plan by consistently evaluating the project, budget, reviewing and approving construction bids and change orders throughout the construction process.
  • Forecasting, scheduling, and deployment
  • Keep all stakeholders aligned and aware on the progress and quality standards
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget while meeting quality and safety objectives.
  • Supervise subcontract construction crews.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials. Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organizations business plan and vision.
  • Develops and presents monthly and quarterly deep dive business reviews to senior leadership team.
  • Troubleshoot issues.
  • Create cost-control reports, cost estimates and staffing requirements for projects.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in construction management.
  • Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.

Requirements:

Requirements

  • Experience in identifying and implementing systems, processes, and SOP’s, both internal and external
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Adaptability, flexibility in the face of changing business requirements and conditions
  • Traveling regularly. You will be spending 50%-75% of time on sites throughout deployment.
  • Interest in the EV industry is a must!

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Logistics, Engineering or other industry related field required.
  • At least 7 years of industry related experience, including three years in upper management required.
  • EV space/sustainability industry experience is preferred but not required
