VP Partnerships

As the VP Partnerships, you will be the single threaded leader for driving new, strategic partnerships that directly contribute to the growth of EVCS’ subscription business and charging network expansion. You will negotiate and execute new partnership agreements that contribute to enhanced discovery and utilization of EVCS locations. You will develop new alliances with national accounts that enable EVCS to expand its network footprint in high value locations. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strategic mindset focusing on long-term benefits for EVCS and our partners, strong analytical as well as interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative climate. The role will require expertise both in internal team project management as well as working with leaders at major companies to strengthen partner relations and obsess over customer experience. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will be looked to provide thought leadership on industry trends and to reinforce the high-performance culture being built at EVCS.

Responsibilities

Develop new strategic partnerships with auto OEMs, rental car companies rideshare/package delivery platforms.
Develop long term plans defining partnerships road map defining priorities and objectives based on data driven analysis and business justification.
Utilize world class written and verbal communication skills to influence internal and external executive stakeholders and build alignment for key partnership initiatives.
Develop financial projections and conceptualize new business models that generate incremental value for partners and EVCS
Lead the full deal lifecycle from defining and negotiating term sheets, aligning EVCS leadership on key gives and gets and ensuring contract execution.
Provide thought leadership on trends in public fast charging surfacing opportunities to take a leadership role in developing the national EV charging network.

Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS required
10+ years professional experience in business development, account management, strategic planning, product management/marketing or M&A roles
7+ years of experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
Proven experience conceptualizing, driving and closing large strategic alliances and partnerships
Excellent relationship management, communication and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to lead complex contract negotiations leading to measurable business impact
Good understanding of the electric vehicle and public EV charging spaces
Ability to adapt to a quickly changing, fast-paced environment

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA/JD preferred
Experience working in early-stage, VC-backed startups building teams, culture and scaling up revenue and customer acquisition via new business development
Strong relationships and contacts with existing decision-makers in automotive OEM, rental car or rideshare/package delivery verticals.
Deep knowledge of the public EV charging landscape.
Expert level in structuring and deploying partnerships with QSR and other national retail accounts.
